Kalotermitidae, on the other hand, do not require much moisture and can grow in dry furniture. Therefore, if you suspect that termites have invaded your home, you can first lower the indoor temperature (25-35 degrees is the comfortable range for termites) to limit their activity. Then, you can use a thermal imaging camera to locate hidden water sources and damaged walls to determine the nest location. Termites also emit carbon dioxide, releasing heat from their digestive system to build high humidity mud tubes.
